“Our municipal buildings are some of San Francisco’s most treasured and well-used spaces, and now, I am proud to say that they are some of our greenest spaces, too,” Lee said. “Designing and constructing more sustainable buildings is not only the right thing to do for our environment, but it is smart planning. With these updates to our environment code, our municipal green buildings will be higher-performing and more cost-effective to operate for years to come.”
